Our Buteland Stop Shepherds Huts, Rosie and Lizzie, are traditional shepherds huts with high quality interiors with amazing surroundings and views that are simply stunning.

During your visit you will find yourself relaxing and staring at the magnificent 360 degree view of the beautiful Northumberland landscape or taking part in lots of outdoor things the Tyne valley has to offer, including, walking, cycling, or visiting Northumberland and it’s attractions. We also have 2 donkeys Wilbur & Eddie Blossom & 2 horses, Masie & Ruby who all enjoy meeting people who give them a carrot or a fuss when passing.

OUR SHEPHERDS HUTS, ROSIE & LIZZIE

Rosie and Lizzie, The Buteland Stop Huts, are off grid shepherds huts with a gas & 12 volt battery powered energy supply.

Facilities include

4ft Comfy double bed (sleeps 2): Towels & Egyptian cotton bed linen provided
Twin burning cooking hob & sink unit
TV (USB charger point), radio
En-suite shower & cassette toilet
Small wood burning stove

Our shepherds huts are a very durable & practical type of country accommodation. They offer a self-contained kitchen, dining room, bedroom & sitting room, designed to fit into a small space. Each has a small wood burning stove in one corner with windows on each side, in order to see the wildlife & countryside. The huts also have a hinged stable door which is positioned from prevailing winds enabling the holiday maker to have magnificent 360 degree views of the Tynedale valley.

Snug, comfortable haven

This is a wonderful little cabin. You feel like you are alone in the wonderful countryside. You can lay in bed and look out at the hills and valley, The only sound the sheep, cows and donkeys. It is more appropriate for active guests. Also if staying during cold weather the ability to light a fire in the small stove is helpful. The cabin is a snug little haven. The views are a dream. If you like countryside visit Rosie (the cabin).

Exceptional

The owner was very nice and friendly and not overbearing as the hut is quite remote which adds to its character. Views are amazing in all direction. Phone signal is surprisingly good considering its location. The propery is completely off grid but has 12V and a 5V USB charge point. The log burner gets the hut very warm even when its really cold outside. Shower is nice and warm but has a small hot water tank so need to be quick. Overall very cosy and comfortable with lots of character in an amazing location.

Wish I could have stayed longer, will return

I unfortunately could only stay one night,but everything about it for me was fantastic having been a caravaner for many years it was like being in a luxury caravan,beautiful location,a couple of miles from the nearest village where there is a very good pub restaurant,and if you want to see the stars as never before,go there.

Fantastic!

Amazing location and awesome view! The hut was very well set up and so cosy. We had a lovely welcome and good demonstration of the facilities. We really enjoyed our stay, it was so nice to have somewhere different to stay.

A gorgeous hidden gem, the perfect escape from reality for a night or two!

So happy to have discovered this hidden gem, it was a prefect break from reality and the clear night sky was an added bonus! The cabin had everything you'd need for a night away, we were completely blown away and our hosts were very helpful and accommodating - we will definitely be returning!
